Montana High Tech Jobs Summit draws 700 attendees

With more than 700 attendees, the second biannual Montana High Tech Jobs Summit is testament to local support of high tech growth and jobs in Montana. The Montana High Tech Business Alliance was proud to work with Senator Daines' office and the Montana Chamber of Commerce to co-sponsor this event, and many Alliance member companies served as speakers and as moderators.

If you missed the event, you can find recordings of the speakers and panels linked at the bottom of this post. Congressman and former Alliance Board Chair Greg Gianforte opened the event, speaking about the growth and success of RightNow Technologies and the opportunities Montana can provide for dedicated, talented people. The Montana Jobs Creators panel, pictured above, was composed entirely of Alliance members. The panel discussed how homegrown companies can present unique hiring and growth opportunities in Montana. Liz Marchi of Liz Marchi Consulting moderated a discussion between SEC Chairman Jay Clayton and Director of the Division of Corporation Finance William H. Hinman.

The broadband panel featured Blackfoot CEO Jason Williams and the Alliance's own Executive Director Christina Henderson and focused on how solving connectivity challenges can remove roadblocks to high tech growth, particularly in rural areas. Check out this highlight reel of the Montana High Tech Job Summit, produced by Senator Daines' team.
